Yes, we have no bananas
Aug. 9th, 2005 03:09 pmIn my previous living situation, if I bought food I knew I'd get to eat it (or throw it out if it spoiled before I got around to eating it--one of the down-sides to not sharing food.) It's not that my fabulous housemate didn't want to share food with me, it was just that he and I had very different eating habits and very different food sensitivities.
In my current large-group living situation, we do one huge grocery-shop per week. I've discovered I live with some banana-fiends! No matter how many bananas we buy, they disappear extremely quickly. I went shopping on Sunday. Today is Tuesday. If I hadn't squirreled away one banana, I wouldn't have gotten one. I had my one banana as an afternoon snack today. And now they're gone, until after next weekend's shopping trip!
