Reason #435 why I hate cars

There's a dead woodchuck in the middle of the road near our house, run over by a car. On her way home lady_babalon saw another car run over the already dead animal.

lady_babalon says it was a girl woodchuck. She's just gone outside, armed with plastic bags, to move the poor critter's body off the road.

We took it into the woods, where it will hopefully be left alone to re-integrate into the ecosystem.

We have a lot of dead animals that have been struck around here, but most people have the courtesty to move it off the road and then call the city. :-(

No such courtesy around here. The person who ran over the already-dead animal then stopped the car and asked for directions, totally oblivious to the poor animal! Astounding!
