A very small visitor

Last night as I was just getting ready to get into bed I noticed a small pebble on my bed, or what I thought was a small pebble (I'd taken my glasses off). As I got close to brushing it off the bed I realized it was a lady bug! I grabbed a small piece of paper and easily scooted the lady bug onto it, then took it into the living room while talking to the lady bug in my little girl voice saying "oh, hello ladybug! What where you doing in my bed?" or something like that. This morning the ladybug is who-knows-where in my apartment.

If it had been any other type of insect (with the exception of cute-and-fuzzy-caterpillars) I'd have been going EEW ITS A BUG! What's up with that? Is it a girl thing?
