A steamy hot Boston Pride

I've been going to gay pride marches since 1974. It's still my favorite holiday! This year it was extremely hot though.

We were at the BBWN pre-pride brunch, as usual. Here's a pic of
secret_willow and Jonathan (I wonder if he's on LJ...)

Annie and me. I've known her since forever. Ok, late 1980's. :)

sophiaserpentia and
lady_babalon waiting for the parade to begin. Which took, like, forever. And it didn't help that our contingent was toward the end of the parade this year. Next year I'm going back to my old strategy of watching the parade, near the beginning of the route, till my contingent comes by and then hopping in.

Someone opened a fire hydrant! We parked ourselves nearby, getting the mist from the water as it blew in our direction. Here's
lady_babalon and Aaron cooling off!

When the crowds thinned out enough to wander the Gay Mall :) I found
moonpuppy61 and other concomm members staffing the Gaylaxicon 2005 table. Who's coming to Gaylaxicon this year? It's in Cambridge July 4 weekend! I'll be there! :)

secret_willow looking dignified in his new sunglasses. :) Yesterday was our third anniversary (at least, as I count it...) Our first date was at Pride. Yes, I know, how contrary of me, starting an oppposite-sex relationship at gay pride. :p

A rainbow at Pride that was not for sale. :)

Date: 2005-06-13 12:15 pm (UTC)I heard there was a fire on the parade route and they had to stop for the fire trucks, so that's why it took so long.
