Elegant tea

A group of friends and I really enjoy an elegant tea every now and then, which we usually do once a year in December. On sunday, we had an outing to our first out-of-the-house tea, at Antiquiteas, a lovely little place in southern New Hampshire. Afterwards, we spent an hour browsing a large bookstore before heading home, and I was eager to get home because I was missing the household's father's day barbeque! (Now that I'm living with a father I will know not to schedule a conflict that day.)

Here we are waiting for our tea and food to arrive. Photo taken by Kathleen.

They brought out two towers of the food: dainty little sandwiches with the crusts cut off, biscuits and other pastries, fruit. Plus of course several pots of tea. Notice the tea cozy. :)

Some of their teacups on display. Fine china was also available for sale, plus other antiques and crafty items, much of it extremely reasonably priced!

The owner of the place had a box full of baby parakeets! Some of us got to hold the baby budgies. :)
