Summer and the Kitty

cowgrrlI've never lived with a cat before this year, so seeing how a cat responds to different situations is new to me.
He just lies in this one spot all day -- on the rug near the entrance to the kitchen. This is Zayinel's "it's too hot to move" spot.
Occasionally he'll roll over onto his back.
Other times he will pick listlessly at the rug with his good front paw. Pick! Pick! Little specks of rug flying! Don't tell the landlady or she'll insist (again) that the cat's got to go.
